ALL ABOUT US
Friends with Paws Pet Rescue was founded in January 2016 by Clara Cammerota in Scranton, PA and has continued to grow with the support of the community. We became a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization in August 2016.
We are a foster based all breed dog and cat rescue. Our foster homes are located all across Lackawanna and Luzerne County. We provide vetting (including vaccines, spaying/neutering, and any other necessary medical care), food, toys, shelter and love for all pets put in our care. We rely solely on donations and support from the community.
We have helped find homes for hundreds of pets and will continue to do so with your help and support!
ADOPTION PROCESS
All prospective fosters and adopters must submit an application. We have a thorough application process which includes personal and vet reference checks, home checks and a care contract. We require an approved application before a meet and greet is scheduled.
Our adoption fees vary based upon each individual pet and their needs. Our adoption fees help cover the cost we endure while caring for the animals.
ABOVE AND BEYOND
Our care goes beyond the adoption process as we develop lifelong relationships with all our adopters. We look forward to receiving updates on our past rescues to see how they are adjusting and flourishing in their new home.
