Frequently Asked Questions

What is a foster based rescue?

A foster based rescue means that the animals in our care live with foster families rather than in a traditional shelter. This allows the pets to live in a home environment while they wait to be adopted.

How do I apply to adopt?

Go to APPLICATION link below. Click to download our DOG or CAT APPLICATION. Email it back to us as an attachment or copy and paste the questions and answers into an email.

Application

How long does the application process take?

It depends on the adoptable pet. If it is a highly sought after adoptable, it will take us some time to review all of the applications and determine the best possible placement. Please be patient and understanding. Our entire team are volunteers with our own pets, families and jobs- but we do our best to get through applications in a timely fashion.

Do you re-home pets?

We understand that sometimes life throws us a curve and we need to re-home our pet. If that happens to you or someone you know, please contact us with as many details as possible so that we may assess the situation and determine if our rescue would be the best fit for your pet!

Do you provide veterinary care for the animals?

Yes! We ensure that all foster pets receive appropriate veterinary care, including vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and any necessary medical treatments. We also help you schedule any necessary medical care (such as vaccines, spay/neutering, etc.) after adoption.

Do I need to have a fenced in yard to adopt?

A fenced in yard does not make or break an approval.  However, a fenced in yard is an added bonus and you are responsible for providing proper, daily exercise.

Why wasn’t I chosen to adopt the pet of my choice?

We do our best to approve applications in the order in which they are received. With that being said, we also do our best to match up our adoptable pets with the best possible forever home. We know our pets very well and know what environment they will be most successful in. If you are not chosen to adopt the pet of your choice, please be understanding of the process we go through to ensure proper placement.

How do I schedule a meet and greet?

Meet and greets are not scheduled until an application is received and approved. Feel free to reach out to us if you have questions about the application or a specific pet that you're interested in adopting.

How do I become a foster for your rescue?

To become a foster, you need to fill out a foster application. Once submitted, we will review it, conduct reference checks, and perform a home visit to ensure a good fit for the animals. If approved, we will provide you with all the supplies needed to care for the pet.
